I enjoy volunteering with the Missouri Veterans History Project (https://mvhp.net) This is an organization that documents the stories of veterans and then sends these recordings to the Library of Congress and the Missouri State Capital. We also provide DVDs of these interviews to the veteran’s family.
We interview veterans from World War 2 up to present day wars.
I like working with this organization because I think that it offers something to these veterans to underscore the importance of their contribution to our country. Every veteran has a story and every story tells about sacrifice and service.
My part in the creation of these video interviews is to ask the veteran about how they served. It’s a real honor to facilitate their telling of their story.
